This is nothing fancy; just a short video of me crocheting whatever I’m working on at the moment. I hope you like it.
The video shows me crocheting:
- a row in my chevron scarf,
- in (US) single crochet / (UK) double crochet and the long stitch version thereof,
- with a 3.5 mm crochet hook,
- using Vinnis Nikkim cotton in shade Lilac
This is my longest video yet. It had to be because I explain how to make the long single crochet stitches on either side of the “peaks” in the chevron.
This scarf is beautiful and I like the long singles. love Carol
Nice touch. Your brain-child? Clever. Do I observe correctly that you put the hook through only one half of chain (op top row)? You know what I mean, not through both front and back bit of yarn? Does this also give you the effect you are going for?
Yup my brainchild. Why do a normal chevron if you can jazz it up? 🙂 As for the front loop question, no it’s just a regular stitch through both loops. Maybe it’s the way I’m holding it in the video that makes it liooks that way, but there’s really nothing special to it. Just a regular crochet stitch.
Loop, that’s the word, couldn’t think of it when I typed. Thanks Natasja. Lovely scarf.
