Granny squares as you’ve problably never seen them: tripping.
The Adelaide-born photographer, Diana Melfi took her grandmother’s granny square blankets and used them for a photoshoot called “Granny Takes a Trip”.
Genius, I say!

brilliant – can’t get enough of granny squares!
Me neither!
The blankets are lovely but I find the model a little scary, she’s all bone and skin.
I agree. Poor thing. Looks like a 4mm crochet hook.
My absolute favourite too! The pattern leans itself towards the entire spectrum of yarns and crochet styles and simply cannot fail. Nice find N.
I really dislike this; the model looks ill. Dreadful glamourising of drug culture.
Nice granny square blankets !
I,too, was wondering what the anorexic look had to do with granny squares . And at least if she was a nicely rounded woman-the panties may have looked better and made more sense as well. Beautiful squares though.
Granny art! It’s trippy, wild and totally cool. The model is so harsh against the comfort granny brings. Inspired I say.
